DAVID G. HENRY, SR. - PATENT ATTORNEY * PATENT, TRADEMARK & COPYRIGHT LITIGATION ATTORNEY * INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW PROFESSOR * IP and CERTIFICATED MEDIATOR (IP AND COMPLEX LITIGATION)
These photographs are ones taken over a number of years of flying (mostly while traveling to and between the various venues of my patent infringement and trademark infringement cases throughout the U.S.). Many are included because of their striking beauty (mostly in "Airscapes") and most of those are of recent vintage, taken with the latest digital SLR cameras. Some others, however, are quite old and of low photographic or artistic quality. These latter photographs (mostly found in "Cities and Landmarks") are included because they are of places that cannot, after 9-11, be viewed from the same vantage by any but a military pilot or aviator. Examples of such photographs include the one taken while flying past the U.S. Capitol Building (a frequent flight path for me, pre-9-11) or over Arlington National Cemetery. Flight restrictions over Hoover Dam likewise make the photograph of that landmark an irreplaceable shot.
The balance of the photographs (primarily in "Only If You Fly") is an assortment of people, places, events and things that I simply found interesting or memorable for one reason or another, but always ones representing a perspective only possible from the air, or from being part of a "flying family."
I hope that you enjoy this collection, and would be very much interested in any comments or suggestions that you would like to share (please send your comments to dghenry@pilotatlaw.com).
